Drake speaks about being robbed at gunpoint!
Written By CarmaDee

Drake was robbed at gunpoint in his hometown of Toronto in May 2009 and he tells GQ he thinks the robbery was an inside job. (The interview is not online, but MTV has summarized it.) "I knew it was a setup, because I had on a sweater and a jacket. But when they banged on the car window with a gun and opened the door, the first thing he said was, 'Yo, run that chain,'" Drake, who had been on a date, says. "They didn't rob my date, and her purse was sitting right there. So I was like, 'OK, yup you set the whole thing up." The rapper lost around $4,000 and a new chain that Lil Wayne had given him. Following the robbery, Drake said he learned a valuable lesson from his near fatal experience.
After being relieved of $4,000 in U.S. currency and a chain that new mentor Lil Wayne had just given him, Drake said he learned a valuable lesson. From then on, he vowed to steer clear of the negative energy that can sometimes surround the rap world. Once his career began to take off a month later, he was prepared to handle it. (MTV)
Moving away from negative energy, Drake is currently focused on his new sophomore album, Take Care.

Drake's Thank Me Later was a platinum smash around the world, spawning the hits "Over" and "Find Your Love" but Drizzy's not resting on his debut's success, even claiming that he may have made mistakes in the album's production, promising that his second album would make up for any shortfalls. Production on Drake's second album reportedly comes from 9th Wonder and DJ Premier so far, but every album in "pre-production" in hip-hop is produced by those two so we'll see. The title Drake's picked out for the album is Take Care. We will. (RWD Mag)

Earlier this year, Drake said he was contemplating a different album title for the project.
Drake's debut album hasn't even hit stores yet, but he's already thinking of a second album title. Moments is the name he's been tossing around for his sophomore effort, reports the Los Angeles Times. While nothing has been set in stone, he explained the reasoning behind the title. "Hip-hop is all about moments," said the 23-year-old rapper. "You look at people who were hot three or four years ago who are sitting around reminiscing. It's fickle. It's agame of moments. I'm the moment right now." (Rap-Up)
